I like tartan and I am situational on sequins but the tartan sequin mini-skirt here on Amanda Seyfried? I love it. Quirky, vaguely Gen X, a little bit unexpected, particularly paired with a lace blouse. Into it.

Jennifer Aniston’s black vest
I wasn’t raised on Friends so I had no idea that the white t-shirt/black vest that Jennifer Aniston wore on her “date” with Pedro Pascal is Must See TV cannon. It’s similar to the combination she wore on the series finale of Friends and if we know Jennifer Aniston, she loves a tailored basic, often in black. I used to be a little bored with her style but I think I’ve come around on it because she’s so consistent. After decades of fame, I associate her with the specific jeans and black dresses and specific hair and a specific shoe. She likes what she likes!
The OG vest is from Theory’s Chaz B Sweater Vest – believe it or not there are still some kicking around on resellers.
I’m sure Jen has updated hers and with this grainy photo from behind, it’s hard to tell the exact brand: The Row, Celine, Jil Sander, Chloe, Anine Bing and Smythe are just a few of the designers that came up with a thin-knit black vest. I know up close there are differences but look at it online, they are interchangeable.
For a more accessible price point, Joe Fresh has a heavier cable knit black vest and Artizia has a Bare Cashmere vest.
Jennifer Meyer’s Prada shirt
Stripes are my weakness, I rarely meet a stripe I don’t like and this shirt on Jennifer Meyer is no exception (second photo in the carousel). Same with a long-sleeved tee, which has slowly replaced my short-sleeved tees. Long sleeves are all season – layering in the winter, sun coverage in the summer. The only issue is hers is Prada and currently retailing for €980, I didn’t even bother converting it to Canadian. Last week Lainey wrote about Jennifer and Gwyneth Paltrow hanging out and it has me wondering if Jen is thinking of moving to Montecito. She is an LA girl through and through, her dad ran a studio. But her kids are getting older (like Gwyneth’s) and she’s getting remarried (like Gwyneth did) – have I mentioned her husband’s family owns an airport? Not an airplane, an airport.
Anya Taylor-Joy’s friend’s (???) jeans
Sometimes, not often, I get a request for an item the friend of a celebrity is wearing because they are in the photos. I have no idea if the woman in this photo is Anya Taylor-Joy’s friend or acquaintance or if she’s a brand rep or just happened to be in the photo, but Gemma wants her jeans.
One thing I found interesting when researching jeans with heart-shaped pockets on the bum is that they are often from super-fast fashion retailers. Not sure why? These jeans are from photos taken outside of a Reformation x Devon Lee Carlson dinner so that was the ticket. Most sizes are still available.
