Day Drinking with Kristen Stewart
Seth Meyers and Kristen Stewart went day drinking, which included a “lesbian makeover” for him. Lesbians are not a monolith in their style choices but I think, as a general rule, more closets need more lesbian-esque pieces. When in doubt, dress like an intimidating lesbian. Instant confidence builder. There are always these new brands that promise “French” style or “California casual” style but where is the clothing line promising me lesbian style?! Or, do those brands exist but they don’t market to the boring straights? Fair. That’s fair.
Anyway, I was asked about the sneakers Kristen is wearing in this shoot and they are the Onitsuka Tiger. Obviously she’s not wearing the now-prolific black or white Adidas Sambas (way too basic for her – I own both) but she also sometimes wears suede Gazelles (her favourite colour combo is brown and yellow). Viva lesbians!
Jennifer Garner’s low-key sunnies
Jennifer Garner is never going to splash labels all over her, very much not her style. Even her sunglasses, which are expensive, are still not the usual suspects. These are Good See Co. and the exact pair is here. See? Expensive but not splashy. No gold rim.

Katie Holmes pops up for spring
It’s spring, which means we have a new Katie Holmes microtrend to look out for. From the woman who brought us boyfriend jeans (I hold fast that she was an early adopter – remember, they used to say she was wearing Tom’s jeans even though she had to roll them up and we all just went along with that) and of course, the cashmere bra with matching cardigan.
This year her blue flats are catching lot of attention. They are ATP Atelier Petina Pastel Blue Mary Jane flats. Mary Janes never go out of style but this year I feel like we are seeing different versions, like the mesh Alaias and The Row’s clear flats. The good news is Mary Janes have been around forever and will be around forever, which means nearly every shoe line makes a pair. Camper has baby blue Mary Janes and Steve Madden has mesh Mary Janes. If you love this style of shoe, this is your year!
