Duana and I talked about The View and Ramin Setoodeh’s new book on The View, Ladies Who Punch, a couple of weeks ago. That’s what I’m reading this weekend. I’m actually about to start as soon as I wrap the site. And this is the perfect appetiser – audio of Elisabeth Hasselback threatening to quit the show mid-show when Barbara Walters talks down to her on live TV. If you haven’t listened to this yet, GET READY. (Dlisted)
What are the childhood rituals you still observe? Do you lift your feet when you’re driving over train tracks? That was a thing for kids in my generation in my community. I also have another weird one that’s really personal but, you know, I’m an intimate details oversharer so here goes: my ma told me to blowdry my cooch after a shower. That’s still how I dry my crotch – never with a towel but with a hairdryer. (Pajiba)
Kit Harington is hosting SNL this weekend and he’s spending his downtime boxing in New York City. Those curls are getting longer again too. Maybe he grew them out for Leslie Jones. Nobody is as excited as she is and I hope she gets a lot of sketch time. (TMZ)
There are many things wrong with this white dress on Ellie Goulding. The shoulders, however, are not one of them. I like a big shoulder and I don’t mind these shoulders. The problem is not with the shoulders, it’s with the hair. This is the wrong hair choice for these shoulders. (Go Fug Yourself)
Prince William and Prince Harry joined Prince Charles at the premiere of Our Planet last night and it’s interesting to compare the way their respective Instagram accounts documented the event. House Cambridge style is pretty standard royal. House Sussex’s was informative…but included bonus Easter eggs, like a previously unseen shot of Harry and Meghan Markle in Botswana. (Cele|bitchy)
This is our final weekend before our Sundays will be taken over again by Game of Thrones for six weeks. And then… that experience will be over, the experience of so many of us watching the same TV at the same time together. Are you sad about this? (Vulture)
