Apparently Jessica Alba could stand to learn a lesson or two from Brittany about onset behaviour. She was in Yokohama last week filming a movie called The Ramen Girl – so low budget it may never be screened. Shooting on this day lasted 14 hours. She was a star throughout, and by star, I mean a genuinely wonderful person to work with. “In between takes she would belt out a tune and make people laugh”, always polite with the crew, always polite with the extras, never a diva moment – even used a Japanese Squat Pot without complaint. Imagine that … a Hollywood actress squatting like a commoner? The horror! 

The reports are consistent with everything I have ever heard about Brittany Murphy. She is delightful. She was delightful – if not a tad too “loopy” – when I met her at TIFF and she was equally delightful when I first saw her in Vancouver 3 years ago. Thrilled she’s going back on the indie circuit. Thrilled she’s stayed true to her sweetness. Would love for her to find lasting love. Brittany and Joaquin? Or have I made you mad?
