Dear Gossips,

Louis Vuitton released new campaign images today for the Keepall, the brand’s signature duffel, the bag that’s been around since 1930, featuring BTS’s j-hope in a variety of dance poses. The most familiar version of the Keepall, of course, is in the classic LV print. But I do really, really love the black and blue/grey version that j-hope is showcasing in both a dark suit and also a light lavender fit.

Hobi was officially confirmed as LV’s House Ambassador earlier this year, just a couple of weeks after LVMH announced the appointment of Pharrell Williams as the new men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton, stepping into the vacancy left after the passing of Virgil Abloh. So everyone in the fashion world will be locked in next Tuesday 20 June when Pharrell’s first collection for LV will happen on the first day of Paris Fashion Week. LV typically shows on day three so it was already a bit of a surprise when the schedule was announced last month that Pharrell’s debut was happening at the start of the week.

There’s obviously a lot riding on this for both Pharrell and Louis Vuitton. Everyone wants to see Pharrell’s vision on the runway, not just for the current season but what this initial collective will portend for the brand as it moves forward under his stewardship. And, of course, the celebrities who will show up to support him. Louis Vuitton always attracts a lot of stars, but this time it’ll be even more extra.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
