Probably the Naomi Watts Venice Film Festival dress everyone is talking about most and the one people will most remember is the Armani pink “post-it” dress from the opening gala. I, however, prefer the Prada she wore last night. To me, the design elements are more sophisticated.
I love how the narrow pleating is stretched so that they don’t quite fold over each other, strong enough too to support the embellishment down the sides. And I especially love how the pleating is consistent in the shoulder sections and how the shoulders become a cap sleeve that reminds me of a shower cap and this is not a problem for me. I love it.
This is the dress that, for me, will hold up over time.
