Like Country B as Maria von Trapp!?!?

NBC announced today that it will live broadcast a performance of The Sound Of Music next holiday season, and they’ve cast Carrie Underwood in the role of the governess. Country B can sing, no doubt. But can she pretend to be the kindest, sweetest soul on stage for over two hours?

Wait, you know what?

I think I might want to see that. To see her try and Climb Every Mountain through a lock jaw and not punch Elsa Schrader. Remember, if someone comes in late, or stumbles, or sets her off, this is LIVE. We will get to see that go off, LIVE. So, maybe this won’t suck after all, but not exactly in the way that it was intended.
