At the premiere last night of MacGruber, this is Ryan Phillippe giving us his douche face looking considerably less carby in comparison to his co-star Val Kilmer. Oh’s like, it’s like it’s not even the same person. Kilmer and Brando worked together on The Island of Dr Moreau. Just saying...not that Kilmer’s CV resembles Brando’s in the least.

But remember the drama that came off that set? Apparently John Frankenheimer despised Val and was famously quoted as saying “Now get that bastard off my set” after he’d completed his final scene. As you know, the movie was sh-t. Which is what was initially assumed about MacGruber until the red band trailer was released. The red band trailer changed my mind. As already noted, I’m now dying to see it. And though it’s early still, MacGruber is rating higher than Shrek Forever (no surprise) on Rotten Tomatoes, earning some encouraging early reviews.

My friend Michelle however will not go near it. Because she hates Will Forte. It’s his mouth. I’m not a fan of it either, but my disdain for Forte doesn’t match hers. Besides, since I never matured from high school, I probably respond to fart and sh-t jokes more positively than she does.

Also attached, in addition to Forte and Kristen Wiig, SNL castmates Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, and Jason Sudeikis. So cute.

The redband trailer is below. Use caution at work.
