Time to catch up on the photo sets that were released this weekend. Let’s start with one of our favourites, Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson. They went out for a walk the other day with the baby and the dog. It was announced a few weeks ago that Without Remorse, adapted from Tom Clancy’s novel, produced by and starring Michael B Jordan, with Jodie in a supporting role, has been pushed back to February 2021 after originally set for release in October. Jodie also has another film in post-production, After Yang, with Colin Farrell and directed by Kogonada whose last feature, Columbus, starring John Cho, was exquisite. Right now they’re saying it too is a 2021 release but I wonder if we might see it on the film festival circuit – whatever that looks like. Right now TIFF, for example, is supposed to be a combination of physical and virtual screenings. After Yang seems like it would be a great candidate for the festival environment.
As for Joshua, the Emmy nominations will be announced next week and Little Fires Everywhere is expected to contend in the Limited Series category. I don’t know if he has a solid change for a supporting actor nomination although if he was in the mix, nobody would object. He is GREAT in that role – Melayna wrote a long read piece about the series last week, click here to read it.
Meanwhile, Quavo and Saweetie (Cody refers to them as “Music’s Next King and Queen") went out for dinner last night and are definitely making the most of their GQ moment.
And finally, Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone were seen coming off a private jet with his mother. No word on where they went but I wonder if lockdown was the longest that Leo’s been stationed in one spot for decades. No South of France, no Ibiza, no Coachella, no international parties – and this is the dude whose biography could be called “Where The Party At?” It must be so hard.
