Is it her best ever? No. Could anyone else make this look so cool? No again. But when she walked, this dress absolutely popped. And unless you watched the pre-show, you really can’t appreciate how amazingly Cate can work it, to say nothing of her skin – glowing is an understatement. Besides, only Cate could class up those shoes – the spikes on any other mere moral would have screamed stripper and a pole. But you know what makes Cate Cate? What makes Cate Cate is what she “doesn’t” do. There are no extensions. There are no nasty fake nails. She has thin limp hair and she makes do with thin limp hair. She doesn’t call Ken Paves to tease it up like a whore. She doesn’t grab a horse weave and wrap it around her head. She doesn’t heat a barrel and curl it into babydoll spirals. Simple, unembellished, totally UNplastic, the opposite of Posh… So isn’t that the essence of Style? Source
