Cate Blanchett closed out the Venice Film Festival with her most spectacular look – saving the best for last. This is a gown that was meant for Venice, for the glamour, for the extra. But a different vibe of extra than what we see in Cannes. Cannes extra is borderline tacky. Or straight up tacky, depending on your mileage. Not that I’m complaining. That’s what you want out of Cannes. In Venice, it’s spectacle, but refined. (Go Fug Yourself)

Emilia Clarke and Matt Smith hung out and were papped together so now people are wondering if they might be dealing with each other which… can’t two people just be friends?! Whatever. What would gossip be if two beautiful people who have been friends for some time and worked together can’t go out without us making assumptions? They’re not holding hands or anything but there is definitely a vibe. Here’s my question: are those a pants and shoe combination that you would wear on a “date”? I’m going to say it’s possible, because the shoes are giving her some height. And back in my day of single-ness, I’d want the extra height for easier kissing. (Dlisted)

Time for an update on Prince Andrew. Apparently he won’t be invited to Prince Philip’s birthday party when he turns 100 and/or might be cut out of the pictures? But why? He’s his ma’s favourite! Well, it’s because he was friends with a dead rapist pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, and his alleged co-sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell, and was also photographed with one of their alleged victims who for years has maintained that she was ordered by them to please Andrew. And by please I don’t mean shining his shoes. Not welcome at his dad’s birthday celebration – is that really the worst that’s going to happen to him? (Pajiba)

Speaking of Prince Philip though, there’s a conversation that’s happening now about how many times he cheated on the Queen. And if that’s a generally accepted truth, where’s all the outrage? How could he do that to Her Majesty? For all her sacrifice and service to the British people, HOW DARE HE? Or is the “how dare he/they” attitude only reserved for the Sussexes? (Cele|bitchy)

What?! Michelle Yeoh, Sandra Oh, and Henry Golding in ONE MOVIE?! (The Hollywood Reporter)
