Typically I don’t cross As Seen on Social Media posts (which come out on Wednesday!) with this space BUT so many of you ask me about Jen Meyer jewelry because it’s worn by an endless list of celebs – lots on the red carpet and in real life. Jen M.’s most loyal client is Jennifer Aniston, who has been wearing Jen M.’s pieces since before the line existed. And with her deep and wide connections (her dad was a studio head), it seems like everyone wants a piece. To top it off, the designs are really great – classic, simple and stylish without looking generic.
Anyway, I say all this because she’s doing a very rare one-day sale today, so I couldn’t wait for tomorrow.
OK so this is maybe a tacky question, but I’m curious about the logistics of friends who made it to Victoria Beckham’s birthday party. Eva Longoria lives in LA, so it’s a long way to go. Did the Beckhams charter a plane for their US friends? Or did Salma, who most definitely flies private all the time, offer Eva and her family seats on her PJ?
Lending out (and renting) private planes is common. But who pays for that?
After appearing on Fox to express his regret for his previous support of President Biden, The Rock dropped a country song. In order to be The Rock, he has to be everything to everyone and I suspect that is what’s behind his current courting of different demographics. He’s also gone back, full force, to wrestling. He frames it as being loyal to his roots but at what point is The Rock stifling Dwayne Johnson? He’s always been a persona act but also wants to be a “serious” actor. He’s taken on a few serious roles and presents at the Oscars – he wants to be part of that world, too. But if we are talking acting, and strictly acting, former wrestlers like John Cena and David Bautista have leapfrogged him because they take more off-the-wall – and supporting! – roles. There’s something about the way The Rock is presenting himself right now that gives off the feeling that he’s white-knuckling it in his career.
Did you know Troy Sivan has a lifestyle brand? This bottomless bowl is $178 (small) and $649 (large) and I’m kind of obsessed.
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are ignoring the growing criticism of their decision to tear down an architecturally significant home. They bought it, it’s theirs to do as they wish – legally and technically, yes. But from another standpoint, how badly did they need this particular piece of land to build a “modern farmhouse”? There are so many McMansions and huge pieces of land in Brentwood and it is not like they are bargain hunting. Even if they didn’t understand the significance of the home (which is plausible, not everyone is an architecture buff like Brad Pitt), did no one on their home building team – the contractor, the architects, the designers, the permit advisors – give them a heads up? Or their realtor, maybe BEFORE they bought the house?
