Ariana Grande and Barbra Streisand have been exchanging compliments on social media since their duet in Chicago in early August. As we know, Babs doesn’t duet with just anyone. And she probably wouldn’t get a manicure with just anyone, either. I love how she agrees to Ariana’s suggestion but points out that she gets her manicures on Thursday so obviously, the manicures will be on a Thursday. It’s not a question, it’s a statement. Maybe after manicures, at Babs’ preferred time and place, they can go for a stroll in the mall that Barbra has in her basement.
Blake Lively gifted Ryan Reynolds something super sentimental for his birthday: a portrait of childhood Ryan delivering the newspaper, The Vancouver Sun (which still exists!). He said it’s the greatest gift she has ever given him, so she has to be pleased with herself. And planning for next year. How do you top a nostalgic portrait of a boy and his dog?
Just yesterday we were talking about celebrities in the cosmetic and skincare space and there’s already another one to add to the list. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been trying her hand at beauty blogging and is now launching a line of “clean baby care” (which means us plebs can stop using stop using dirty baby care). She’ll be sharing a space with the big name, The Honest Company, and Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell’s upstart, Hello Bello.
It’s a competitive space, but lucrative if you can break into it because it’s easy to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a baby that doesn’t need much of anything. It looks like we will be seeing her son Jack in the promos, which of course makes me wonder if his father, Jason Statham, will show up in the promotion. Try to imagine what his to-do list looks like: 1. Fight off a group of mercenaries (one of whom is his old special ops partner gone rogue) who are trying to load a nuclear bomb onto a helicopter aimed for the World Fair. 2. Call The Rock back re: contracted punch count negotiations. 3. Diaper cream ad.
Kaley Cuoco pulling a self-aware Lea Michele has made me like her 63% more than usual. (Oh and did you read about how Kaley and her husband don’t live together? Another trend GP can take credit for.)
Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri is an Instagram influencer and I know what I will be doing for the rest of the day: creeping her account and wondering what Susan thinks of the #HappilyEvaAfter hashtag.
