Every year the “Is Die Hard a Christmas movie?” debate happens, as predictable as a Hallmark movie plot. But if you want a Christmas movie that is genuinely not really viewed as a Christmas movie, my pick is About A Boy. It’s even centered around a popular holiday song.
John Mayer posted a photo album of his friend Ricky Van Veen (Allison Williams’s ex-husband) and please flip to the second photo. The face-tuning is severe. It’s so severe that it makes me think John included it as a joke. It looks like someone took an eraser to the photo. That has to be a joke, right? John is pretty up on these things so yes, it must be. They look like wax figures in a hot room.
I have never been this relaxed in my life.
Jennifer Garner did a gift guide in her Stories and included all her friends who probably sent her a package for the holidays, hoping she would post it on Instagram: Robin Wright (Pour Les Femmes), Reese Witherspoon (Draper James), Sara and Erin Foster (Favorite Daughter), Adidas by Zoe Saldana, Kristen Bell (Happy Dance bath bomb), Kerry Washington (Aurate), Monika Blunder Beauty, Selena Gomez (Rare Beauty), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Foodstirs) and books by Joanna Gaines, Natalie Portman, and Jimmy Fallon. This is probably the only unrelatable, slightly tone-deaf thing she’s ever done on social media.
Rachel Bilson is doing a partnership with Amazon and in the piece that ran in US Weekly, she spoke briefly about co-parenting with her ex Hayden Christensen during the pandemic. Nothing fancy, just “it’s going well.” It’s likely that she had to give up something a teeny bit personal to secure the coverage. It’s been months since she and Bill Hader broke up and I’d like to put forth a Gossip Genie request for her: Chris Evans.
Elon Musk wishes he had what she has.

There’s a TikTok making the rounds on social media about a pop star. The content of the story shouldn’t be all that surprising. What I’m impressed with is her storytelling skills: it happens in three acts and the outfit changes and caption really tie everything together.
