Our favourite Instagram thirst-trapper and dirtbag DJ is the focus of a new profile in The Cut. Diplo is plant-based, he works through lunch so he can go to the pumpkin patch with his kids, he doesn’t believe in monogamy (shocker), he gets distracted by Instagram and he goes to meetings in generic conference rooms - I won’t give away why he joined Raya. The most revealing part for me is that his team reached out to noted celebrity profiler Allison P. Davis (the original plan was to hang in a hot tub). That is strategy and I wonder how this decision played out: did they think about approaching Caity Weaver or Taffy Brodesser-Akner? The most in-demand profilers are probably harder to nail down than the celebrities.

Everything gets a sequel now – why don’t we have a sequel to Set It Up? The ending was just open-ended enough to leave a lot of possibilities.

Lainey wrote about Riley Keough being cast as Daisy in Daisy Jones & The Six. Daisy is the star of the band and the book, but she’s not the only major female character; there’s also Camila, who has a complicated relationship with Daisy. Camila Morrone has been cast in the role. Camila plays Camila.

Now we wait for Billy. And Warren will be important too – he’s the unintentionally funny one, the drummer who thinks he should have been the lead singer. That friction is needed.

Reese Witherspoon’s Instagram account has become a running joke on Twitter because it’s gone downhill, like a breakout TV show that stumbles in a second season. Reese seems aware that people don’t like the new tone and she’s leaning into it. (A bigger issue that is starting to bubble is that she is posting memes without credit.)

But it could be worse. She could have Vin Diesel’s social media manager.

There is no context for this clip, I have nothing witty or insightful to say about reality TV or the UK star system. It’s just really f-cking funny and I can guarantee if you haven’t seen it, you have no idea where it will go. Make sure you are wearing headphones! You’ve been warned. (Also, if you have the time, this is number 32 on the list. There are 31 clips before we even get to this gem.)
