Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s patience has paid off – they laid low for months after the initial story broke and now are fully out and about, just in time for the holidays.

I think one thing that worked in their favour is besides a few mentions of each other in a heavy press cycle, they didn’t go on the offensive. Part of that could be fear of what his ex would say and part of that could be because of the theatre kid energy they both exude – they are part of a cast, the work is the most important thing and they are not above the ensemble. This may not have been strategic but it worked out well.

Gwen Stefani is promoting a prayer challenge app and she is not the first celebrity to do this – Marky Mark also has a prayer app. In the comments, there’s a conversation about the ethics of paying to pray but also a lot of people in the comments saying this is Blake Shelton’s influence. I have to disagree with that as he has said that he actually says it was Gwen who changed his relationship with going to church. Gwen is a lifelong Catholic. Let’s not infantilize her.

Daddy Yankee and his wife split and I had to look this up because the headline said 30 years and I thought that had to be a typo. It’s not! They’ve been married for 30 years and they are both only 47, that’s kind of mind blowing. Here he is with his daughters.

Lainey covered the Apple Martin party yesterday and as she said, this is not an event for regular people to “get.” But because TikTok is going to TikTok, there’s a growing obsession with uncovering dirt on Apple Martin, which has led to some old comment sections and blog posts with an unverified and serious accusation (I’m not repeating them here).

Apple is of that TikTok generation so she is probably aware of what is happening; her name is trending and the videos have millions of views. The latest is that she maybe rolled her eyes.

The Kardashians got a private screening of Wicked and now Priyanka Chopra and family got a private screening of Moana 2. First, I am into her outfit. Second, I don’t think these screenings are new for studios but I don’t think they go over well with the general public.
