It’s a holiday in many parts of Canada today and President’s Day in the US so I’m taking over for Maria who’ll be back tomorrow.
Yesterday was Rihanna’s Birthday. She and A$AP Rocky are now back in New York and were seen leaving Carbone the other night. Like so many celebrities, they’ve been there often. I don’t think RiRi goes there because it’s the place to be though. For her, I actually do believe that the food quality comes first. By the way, Rihanna got a birthday wish from Beyoncé.
Happy Birthday Rihanna 🎂

Speaking of Carbone, Julia Fox has also been photographed there a few times over the last few weeks when she was with Kanye West. Julia’s still finding ways to go viral though now that her Ye era is over. The latest – her pronunciation of “Uncut Gems” or “Uncot jahms”. Which became a thing on TikTok and Anastasia told me it spread like wildfire, and other celebrities were getting in on it too.

Courteney Cox was profiled in the LA Times this weekend because she has a new show coming out – and says it’s the first time in a long time that she’s been challenged as an actor. But she also talks about what Instagram has done for her career and at one point has a snack: Fritos “delicately” wrapped in a slice of turkey.
Her friends say Instagram has allowed fans to get a glimpse of the Courteney they know. And, yes, she is sometimes like the character she is best known for.https://t.co/xZbWcMkf77

Adele was at the NBA All-Star Game with Rich Paul last night. She posed for photos with Mary J Blige – see below. At one point they had the camera in tight on her. Pretty sure they weren’t actually that close to her and this was likely zoomed in but social media was wondering whether or not she was aware that they were shooting her given her expression and the pout because this is exactly how I would try to make my face if I were being filmed but didn’t want to seem like I knew I was being filmed, LOL.

And finally, because there is always BTS content when I take over this space, today is the two year anniversary of their album, Map of the Soul: 7, which is still doing very well.
2 years ago today, @BTS_twt released “Map of the Soul: 7â€, which became South Korea’s best-selling album of all-time.#2YearsWithMOTS7 pic.twitter.com/7rsUuOfqrz

Friday was j-hope’s birthday. And he made the Beyoncé birthday list. Jungkook has also made her list. Hobi seemed pretty excited.

BTS is currently prepping for their first live in-person shows in Seoul in two and a half years. There are live-stream options for their performances and, in many cities around the world, the livestreaming can be viewed at participating theatre chains. I will not be seeing it in a theatre because I’ll still be in personal lockdown in March. But OF COURSE I’ll be home-viewing this. South Korea is home for RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Even if the setlist and choreo will be similar to their shows in LA a couple of months ago, they’ll bring some extra to their home audience, guaranteed.
