If The Today Show really wants Kelly Rowland to come back and co-host, maybe they should stop bringing it up on air?! As a non-viewer, I can’t tell if they are being welcoming or sarcastic.

 

Scrubs might reboot and this makes sense – some of the cast has stayed close and while they’ve all had pretty steady work, none are Marvel superhero famous. That helps when getting the band back together. 

 

Ariana Grande is entering her new era with an album, an SNL appearance and some early looks at Wicked (which doesn’t come out until November). The pop music landscape is very noisy right now – there’s the obvious biggies like Taylor’s tour and TNT and Beyonce’s country album, as well as new music by Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo on tour, Lana Del Rey at Coachella, Lady Gaga working on new music, Katy Perry quitting American Idol to focus on music, JLo on tour – it’s a lot. 

 

The one upside of streaming services is that there’s always room for more music, we aren’t limited to what we can physical buy and hold. The challenge with Ariana will be finding a storyline amidst the mess, because that’s what we’ve come to expect from eras. A narrative. Considering that even her hardcore fans are hesitant about her new relationship, this will be a tricky thing to sell. Ari loves love and while it can be messy, it can also be strength for an artist – that vulnerability and passion. You know who it reminds me of? JLo. She LOVES love. And it has served her well in her career. 

 

Posh influencer Chiara Ferragni has been levied a big fine for misrepresentation, but there’s very little about it online in North America. She has been on the cover of several magazines (including Vogue Italia), was on the board at Tod’s, and has her own brand with a dedicated page on Vogue, but it’s crickets from fashion media so far. Her last post is about her hair colour. That’s true influencer “everything in my life is AMAZING AND PERFECT” denialism.
