A woman named Raina made a modest proposal video for John Boyega (asking him to marry her, fair request). Now Twitter can be tricky because of fake accounts, so a person changed their profile to mimic John’s current profile and initiated contact. The internet went wild. Only, it wasn’t the real deal. Hurt and confusion all around, which turned to anger – directed at John Boyega. Then he was confused and offended that the response to the proposal was so bland. So what are we left with? Nothing really. John and Raina are not engaged but I am rooting for them.

Here’s some new news: Emma Roberts is pregnant. Lainey last updated on Emma and Garrett Hedlund in March when quarantine was still fresh - it seems like years ago now.
Disney is changing Splash Mountain to a Princess Tiana ride. If you don’t know Princess Tiana, she’s from Princess and The Frog, a hugely underrated Disney property (the redesign has been in the works for a year). Princess and the Frog would also work as a live action film, but I guess they have to get Mulan in front of people first.
Billie Eilish has changed her Instagram and her fans are upset and worried (she unfollowed everyone after posting “If I am following your abuser, DM me and I will unfollow them”). Billie is 18, which is technically old enough to drink and vote and join the military in some places, but 18 is still very young – and she’s been famous for a few years. Her team is probably planning a new album, which adds a whole other kind of pressure as her last one was a smash. We’ve seen how the effects of fame have played out on people this age, over and over. Let’s hope she has people around her that are more focused on her wellbeing than her next hit.
Lisa Rinna embraces her D-listness and, as a Housewife, plays “Lisa Rinna” – it’s a version of her public persona, but curated for reality TV. She has big Valerie Cherish energy. On Instagram, she has created a whole persona with the dancing videos and bikini shots which, of course, piss off the Housewives Karen demographic (which is a strong force). Through it all, she’s very clear about her purpose on the show – to make money. She’s talked about doing adult diaper commercials, daytime soaps, endorsements and has said openly she will do anything to make a buck and get in front of the camera. She has also mentioned that she makes the most off her QVC clothing line, particular “dusters” (a wrap/cardigan thing). But QVC has reportedly told her to shut it regarding Black Lives Matter. She’s not shutting it. In fact, she’s telling everyone that they want her to shut it. Curious to see how they react.
