JLo has canceled several of her tour stops and a source cites “logistical issues”. This Is Me… Now, the album, is not performing well but her film and the making of the film have both been hits for Amazon Prime, an important thing for her considering she funded the project herself.

In the documentary, we see how hard she works as a performer. She takes it seriously. She dances her ass off at these shows and that’s one thing that annoys me: people in the comments knocking her dancing. COME ON. There’s legit criticism about a performer but the ageism here is loud.

Busy Philipps spoke to Page Six on the red carpet about hair, makeup and wardrobe costs. Taraji P. Henson talked to Gayle King about it and the out-of-pocket payment most actresses are expected to make, which add up very quickly. There’s also the ever-increasing standards. When we see Margot Robbie doing 498 red carpets for Barbie and each one is very high level glam, like VERY high level, that becomes a new normal. Hair extensions, subtle spray tans, laser facials, acrylics – these are basics we expect to see on a red carpet without even really noticing. That’s not even touching wardrobe or the body treatments, workouts or hair touch ups.

There’s a bunch of accounts that post throwbacks of celebrities on red carpets just wearing regular clothes and I’d love to see that make a comeback. The Adam Sandler-ization of the red carpet. Not every event has to be the MET Gala.

There’s a reality TV war brewing and it’s not about the casts. Here’s the situation: Kyle and Mauricio Umansky have been married for decades and she is an OG cast member on Beverly Hills. She is a jewel in the Bravo crown. On this season of Beverly Hills, she’s been dodging questions about her marriage and close friendship with Morgan Wade. Instead of watching it on the show, Housewives fans are getting the scoop from clips circulating from Mauricio’s Netflix show, including explaining his falling out with the Hilton family. It’s a coup for Netflix and rare fumble for Bravo.

Being a guest and presenter looks a lot more fun than being a nominee at the Oscars.

The new season of Stranger Things is coming out and here’s a question I’ve been thinking about: how long is too long to wait for a TV show? This isn’t specific to Stranger Things, but it is in a unique situation as some of the cast has gone from teens-to-adults over the course of the show. Same with Euphoria. In two years (or whenever it comes back) am I supposed to buy Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie and Jacob Elordi as high schoolers? That was a stretch in the first season that aired in 2019.
