Usually a classic Friday news dump is for a divorce announcement but this time it’s for a baby announcement by Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz. Just like last time it’s a surprise (to us) and they are not sharing photos.
I had to look up their gender and name of their first child so clearly the system works! They live in LA and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of their children.

We’ve seen it before, as she is right about the age that Madonna started to be heavily criticized for trying to exist in a realm she literally had a huge hand in creating.
JLo brought “triple threat” to the mainstream fame game and now she’s been blasted for leaning into those skills with her movie. Which she paid for and then sold. I’ve said it a million times: pop stars age out of popularity, it happens all the time and will continue to happen. But does that mean because the radio won’t play them or they aren’t getting a billion TikTok stream in 24 hours they should sit in a rocking chair facing the wall? If they want to make music for themselves, after decades in the industry, haven’t they earned that?
