Chris Pratt is doing press for Garfield so it’s a lot of “Chris Pratt’s kids have never seen his movies” headlines. I don’t watch his movies either so I get it, kids!
A story popped up on PEOPLE about him wanting to star in a movie with his wife Katherine. Ah yes, a famous couple starring in a movie together – that always works out so well. Audiences love that. What could go wrong. And Katherine being a totally inexperienced actress shouldn’t be an issue at all.
Jelly Roll has shot to fame and he already has one indulgence – only wearing socks once. I wonder if they donate the socks after washing? That’s a best case scenario – socks are a high demand items for shelters.
IF didn’t kill it at the box office (you can read Sarah’s review here) and it got me thinking about Ryan Reynolds and where the appetite is for his movies that are not Deadpool. That franchise saved his career, with full credit to him for taking the big swing. He’s solid in that regard now. But in terms of doing work that is unexpected, will he ever try to show us range again?
Stylist Kate Young has a small feature in Harper’s Bazaar and I’ve been watching her over the last couple of years because she’s lost some major clients – Selena Gomez, Anne Hathaway, Margot Robbie (pre-Barbie) and Jennifer Lawrence. She still has two major names that have stuck with her, Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams. She also styled Jeremy Strong for this year’s MET Gala.
But if plebs like me are talking about her career dip, I can’t imagine how much people inside of the business are talking about it (particularly as both Selena and Anne went to Erin Walsh).
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is in Cannes and last time I wrote about her was in regards to her beauty line being sold (as part of the licensing company’s restructuring). I had no idea how popular Rose Inc. products are, I got some emails and messages that were pretty disappointed she is no longer associated with the brand. Rosie has quickly moved on and is now working with Dolce & Gabbana beauty.
