Since I often give Nina Dobrev’s Instagram feed a hard time I need to give her props for standing with the WGA. Her social media caption game can be corny but her sign - “Acters r dum” – makes up for it. 

 

It’s a post-long weekend Tuesday in Canada and Emily (our site manager) and I were trying to explain to Sarah how chaotic May Long is. It’s usually the first warm-weather long weekend of the year and it makes us (Canadians) act like the Ed Helms in The Hangover. A dentist making bad decisions. Then Tuesday everyone goes back to work a little shell-shocked. (I included Seth Rogen because he’s the prototype of a Canadian dude who goes camping and takes mushrooms on May Long.)

 

Get ready for what is sure to be the tackiest wedding since Teresa Giudice on Real Housewives of New Jersey: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez (aka Alive Girl) are engaged. 

 

Interesting timing for a new Jeremy Allen White story in Vogue and I noticed that Melanie Griffith liked this post. Dakota Johnson and Addison Timlin are best friends – is this just a case of a family friend “liking” everything (classic mom move) or a sign that things are calm and friendly? As for Jeremy, we don’t need Vogue to tell us that his career is skyrocketing and he is doing the most for the white t-shirt industrial complex. The online discourse around him happened first and traditional media is following social media.

OK remember how we were all shocked when The Sun correctly scooped Taylor Swift and Matt Healy? Well what if they’ve done it again with another super couple? The Sun is reporting that the Gallagher brothers are “flirting with the idea” of a return to Knebworth. While it would of course be iconic, both Liam and Noel are on solo tours and tied up through 2024. It would need to be a long truce and the concert itself would require so much planning and rehearsal, which leaves space for conflict. While I think it would be amazing if true, if they couldn’t pull it together for One Love Manchester, which was pulled together urgently, I don’t know how Noel (who has always been the holdout) would commit to this long process. That said, I’m not totally discounting The Sun right now.
