Gwyneth Paltrow has unloaded her Brentwood home for $22 million (it was originally listed at $29.9 million). This is expected - her Montecito home took years to build (the construction costs must have been astronomical), plus she wanted her kid to finish high school in LA. Now she keeps a home in the Hamptons and maybe a small place in LA for when she’s in the office and Brad is working.

When some of us think of Montecito, we think of ARO. In the Vanity Fair piece on Meghan and Harry, some neighbours said they haven’t really integrated into the community. Do you think GP and Meghan have had a farmers market face-to-face yet? They make a lot of sense as friends.

Lainey took the HOT DAMN photo of Gabrielle Union I was going to use today for her post this morning and as I read through her fashion week coverage, you know what I noticed? Fashion week is exclusive again. There’s been a vibe shift, in a good way, that I think can be traced back to last year’s Galiano show

I watched the first season of Severence last week so I could go straight into the second season. I’m sure this has been discussed but are holidays celebrated in this drab world? I know the landscape and technology is meant to freeze time but do the outies get Christmas and the Fourth of July? Or does Lumon have its own holidays? Celebrations are very ritualistic so it would make sense for this cult/religion/whatever-it-is to have special days.

This post about Long Bright River (haven’t read the book) made me think of Mare of Easttown – cop, single mother, set in Pennsylvania, a mystery in a town ravaged by opioid addiction. As I said, I haven’t read the book so the stories could be completely different, or similar but told in a completely different way.

Mare of Easttown was a critical and commercial hit with big ratings for HBO and I appreciate that they didn’t try to milk it into another season (cough Big Little Lies cough). When they said limited series, they meant limited series.

This is going to be a Super Bowl commercial, right? Maybe Sally customising an order for UberEats, a company that seems to have a Scrooge McDuck vault of money to pay celebrities.
