Our long national nightmare is over: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have bought a house. For realsie this time.

Rihanna LOL.

Leah Remini has kept the Danny Masterson story front-and-center, as much as one person can. She has been a relentless voice of support for the victims who not only had to endure two trials but scary harassment tactics. Scientology was a hot story for a few years but as Tom Cruise shelved his involvement (no doubt he is still a top dog, he just doesn’t talk about it), it’s been written off as “weird” and people move on. In an attention economy, it’s all about the latest true crime sensation or cult story and because people are making jokes about Scientology at awards shows, it doesn’t seem like a scary threat (but to those who leave, it is!). But even if the headlines move on, she hasn’t stopped. Leah’s quest for exposure and accountability is tenacious and I would not be surprised if one day the whole system collapses because of the work she’s done.

Onto another rape accusation: Armand Hammer will not be charged criminally and it’s clear that the next step is a career redemption. Some interesting “likes” on there if you are so inclined to take a look. I’m not listing them because sometimes things are unliked when fans call out celebs. (Also – civil charges are always a possibility right?)

Chili and Usher is an instant click for me because their breakup was a moment in pop culture history, a crushing realization that beautiful young love often doesn’t last. Also I found this archival PEOPLE story and it’s wild – Ben and JLo and Jennifer Garner, Britney and Kevin, Ellen and Portia, Kristen and Jake, Barbie and Ken – we are still talking about so many of these couples!!!

Have you heard the term “almond mom"? If not, this article is interesting and, because I look at a lot of recipes on Instagram, there’s a ton of almond mom posts in my feed. Like “lettuce chips”. It’s like a kale chip but worse, if that’s even possible. As influencers have taken over the home cooking content, a lot of celebrities have stepped back from food. Writing a cookbook used to be the go-to of many celebrity influencers but that trend has died down considerably. But if you do like recipe ideas, I suggest Nonna Pia. Her marinara is done in 15 minutes.
