Orlando Bloom is on Jay Shetty’s podcast (synergy) and is it me, or does he look remarkably like Dominic West? I did a double take. That’s a compliment to them both.
Kate Hudson said in her early 30s she was told she’s “too old” to be a singer which is, obviously, ridiculous. She says it didn’t stop her, she just wasn’t ready until now. But what separates Kate from other debut artists is the reach, like appearing on The Tonight Show for her first single. She made a good wardrobe choice for this medium, it completely fits her bougie hippie vibe. One thing I’ve noticed is that she has not mentioned working with her long-time stylist Sophie Lopez recently. Kate is a regular at the MET Gala and I think she will be there this year with Stella McCartney or Michael Kors.
I wasn’t aware that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley had a beauty brand. I was vaguely aware of a lifestyle brand? But didn’t realize it was makeup and sold at Sephora (not sure if it’s available in Canada). She partnered with a manufacturer who has declared bankruptcy and the assets were sold, including the Rosie Inc. name. This is not a failure or even a bad business decision – nearly every celebrity beauty brand is paired with a company that does the licensing, manufacturing and sales (making sure it’s on shelves and managing the ecommerce). Company structures can be complex and while a celebrity is the face and name and often credited as a founder, they are very rarely the outright owner.
A new nepo baby has dropped! Roan Joseph Stone, I’m very much looking forward to Sharon Stone promoting him. She is an active Instagram commenter, much like Barbra Streisand.
Um, Brie Larson and Jacqueline Novak are friends? Or at least do very hard workouts together. Extremely into this pairing.
This is interesting: Tisha Campbell turned down Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because of privacy reasons and says it’s not the right time for her. That’s understandable, it is not for everyone and the actresses who join have their reasons (at last year’s reunion, Garcelle was candid about the shooting schedule working with her family life).
Looking through Tisha’s Instagram, she posted a recent post with Angelo Pagan, who is married to Leah Remini. Tisha and Leah (and Holly Peete!) are all friends. But Angelo and Leah have not posted about each other in a long time. A very long time.
