JLo is not in the LA Mommy Mafia and never has been. She doesn’t hang with Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson and she’s also not tight with Jennifer Aniston and the Sunday dinner crew. She doesn’t have a celebrity squad. She is not constantly hitting up events in LA. This is not a bad thing, at all, as she’s built a group up around her of family and long-time employees and friends. Those are valuable, real relationships. The only downside is that she doesn’t get that glow of cross-promotion with celebrities. For example, GP will mention Lolavie or King’s Vodka casually because she’s supporting her crew.
JLo doesn’t get that and at this event for Delola, the only celebrity in attendance was Sia. This isn’t a knock on Sia but she is not going to move product for JLo. And trust me, she wants this product to move.
In more JLo business movies, her beauty brand will be available at Macy’s (which makes me wonder if Sephora will drop it as sales have reportedly been sluggish). And on that note: have you noticed how different her makeup has been lately? She’s always reliable for bronze, sun-kissed face and nude lip but her team has been experimenting a lot more with colour. Could a make-up line be in the works?
It’s really interesting that Salma Hayek is a Victoria Beckham muse this season as Salma’s husband owns Kering (home to Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen and many more). Salma attends a lot of fashion events that fall under the family business. An acquisition would be major for VB.
Teyana Taylor attended the Versace show and I love, love, love the trench. Her split from Iman Shumpert went under the radar because of all the big splits happening. And she lays out why their split has been so quiet – they’ve chosen to keep it that way.
Russian hackers are taking credit for crashing the Royal Family website but, um, why would anyone be looking at their website? How is it significant enough to crash? It’s not like King Charles has a social insurance number you can steal.
Paramount released Mean Girls on TikTok in 23 parts which is kind of brilliant? Obviously not for every movie but for this movie, it works.

You know what I was thinking the other day? Where the F is Charlie Hunnam?! (I feel like Jeremy Allen White is on such a similar career trajectory.) After a quick search, I see Charlie walked the picket line with some of his Sons of Anarchy castmates but he’s been super quiet and it’s not just because of the strike. We are ready for a new Charlie Hunnam project.
