After a year of dating, Channing Tatum and Jessie J broke up back in November 2019 but it didn’t stick. By January 2020 they were back together, and more “together” than we’d seen them, walking red carpets, flaunting their love during Grammys weekend, and on social media.

Their reunion didn’t stick either, it seems. Multiple outlets, including PEOPLE, are reporting that they’re over again.

“They cared enough about each other to try again but realized it was better to move on,” a source tells PEOPLE. “It’s totally amicable.”

When they broke up the first time, it was around when Channing and Jenna Dewan were disagreeing over custody which may have been a source of stress between Channing and Jessie. Chan and Jenna were able to work their sh-t out and that’s when he and Jessie reconciled. But then the pandemic happened.

Some romances have intensified and become stronger in crisis. But crisis can also truly test romances. Any issues you have with someone are magnified in crisis. Not that we know for sure whether or not Chan and Jessie were even together during any part of the lockdown, but if they were…what happens now? That’s the risk of locking down with someone, right? It sounds great the beginning, until it isn’t. So I guess it’s back to Raya for Channing. Although, if he’s sticking to the rules, even if he’s on Raya is conversation and virtual hookups only because no one is supposed to be random-ing right now. That said… I have a hard time believing that lockdown can overcome horniness. I think we’ve seen evidence of that already on the beach during spring break.
