I did not order the articles this way today on purpose, I SWEAR. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, never mind.

Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson, due out on November 27th. I saw this at TIFF – and I LOVED it. Every minute. I can’t wait to see it again. It’s so smart, it’s really funny, it’s absurd, every single cast member is a delight. Including Chris Evans. As revealed in the trailers, Chris’s character is a dick. That’s all you need to know. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, maybe don’t bother. Knives Out is a movie with secrets. It’s a murder mystery. So, once again, Chris Evans is promoting a movie where he probably can’t say much. He was just in a movie where he couldn’t say much – that would be Avengers: Endgame. Now that he’s on press tour for Knives Out then, he’s saying all the things he couldn’t say about Endgame

Last night on The Tonight Show, Chris talked about how he spoiled the ending for Anthony Mackie but that it ended up being a really special moment between them. And then he talked about picking up Thor’s hammer and answered definitively: what was better – picking up Cap’s shield for the first time or picking up Mjolnir?

Chris Evans is a theatre geek. You can tell in interviews, can’t you? He’s very expressive. I don’t think Duana knows this about him. But she would recognise it in herself if she ever talked to him.

After that, Jimmy brings out Chris’s younger brother, Scott. They play a game about each other, like the newlywed game but for siblings, to test how well they know each other. Scott gets the shaft here but what you’re watching isn’t the game itself but the dynamic between them. It’s clear, right away, that Scott is the baby, even in the way Chris encourages him unconsciously with the pats to the chest and back.

In other Chris Evans news, people have been speculating for a couple of weeks now that he’s guest-starring on Rick and Morty. He seems to be leaning all the way into that on Twitter. Here’s what he posted yesterday. Look how many likes – it’s a done deal, right?
