Are you missing gowns on a red carpet? The Fug Girls certainly are – and to their delight, a lot of gowns were served up at the Shanghai TV festival. Aside from the gowns though, you know why I love this post? Because it is a great example of something I’m always obsessed with when I look through pictures of a Chinese red carpet: everyone looks the same age! Of course they can’t all be the same age…but they all seem like they’re the same age from the styling and the makeup and the other enhancements. I’m telling you, some of the Hong Kong stars I’ve been watching from the time I was a kid do not look any different now than they did then, except that their hairstyles and clothing is better. (Go Fug Yourself)
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are parents now to a baby girl born 14 months after their wedding. Her name is Lyla. Not Lila. And this is the first time I think I’ve asked myself which spelling of the name I prefer. Am I partial to Lyla because of Friday Night Lights? Or am I NOT partial to it because of Friday Night Lights? I was always pro-Tyra over Lyla. And now I’ve just realised that there was a Lyla and a Tyra on the show. Which… yeah. I can imagine a fictional town in Texas where that would happen. (Dlisted)
Like Peter Knava, I too don’t like the open ocean. It’s just too…vast. In every direction! There’s nothing in front of you and you don’t know what the f-ck is under you! Also from Peter I now know there’s a word for it which I can’t say so I sure as sh-t am not going to attempt to spell it here. But for some reason, I had to watch these terrifying ocean videos of big waves, because we’re drawn to what we’re afraid, I guess? (Pajiba)
Did you watch High Fidelity starring Zoe Kravitz? I’ve watched three episodes, it’s really good. And it’s a savour for me as opposed to a binge. Now I have to savour it even more because it’s no more and Zoe is calling out Hulu for cancelling the show. (Cele|bitchy)
Talk about a rebrand: at the Emmys, the “Limited Series” category used to be irrelevant and now it’s become “marquee”. (The Hollywood Reporter)
