I can’t hold this dress to Friday but if I could, if she’d worn it later in the week, it would be the Outfit of the Week. Claire Danes is my best dressed at the Tony Awards. And this might be the best dress she’s ever worn, period, in my opinion.
By the way, this too, like Carey Mulligan’s, is in the “prairie dress” family. Prairie dress had a baby with Jackie Collins? Whatever you want to call it, it’s glorious. The rose gold and black combination is gorgeous. The sequins are playing almost like velvet here. And because of the velvety sequin effect, the three ruffle tiers barely make an impact visually but still add to the overall shape of the dress. I am IN LOVE with this dress, I would wear this dress over and over again, pregnant or not.
