Jennifer Scott and her friends from the Roncesvalles Holiday Cookie Exchange are participating in the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre DIY fundraising challenge. Jennifer is doing this to honour her sister, Julie, her father, Herb, and her mother-in-law Pat, all of whom are desperately missed. Pat was treated at Princess Margaret and the support here gave her extra time with her two grandchildren.
Jennifer hasn’t cut her hair in four years. She has a set a goal of $2021 and when that goal is met, she’ll be donating 10 inches of her hair to Chai Lifeline Canada which provides summer camp experiences, respite care, wigs, and hairpieces to children with cancer.
