Degrassi Goes Hollywood, the show’s first movie, broke records at The N a couple of weeks ago in America as the most–watched, highest-rated telecast ever for the network. Canadian shows have been kicking ass lately with the major players. And both Degrassi and Flashpoint received Gemini Award nominations this week.

The Degrassi movie airs this Sunday at 8pm on CTV.

A special screening took place last night in Toronto – Adamo Ruggiero, Cassie Steele, Jake Epstein, Stacey Farber, Miriam McDonald, Lauren Collins all in attendance and also Jason Mewes…

Yes, Jay and Silent Bob Jason Mewes. Cute, non? Cleaned up and a father now. Last time we saw him, at the end of 2008, he was hanging out with Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed. Apparently they were supposed to work on a movie together.

Jason has a part in Degrassi Goes Hollywood. Pete Wentz, Kevin Smith, Kelly Carlson, and more also made cameo appearances. And look out for Dan Levy from The Aftershow on MTV. Obviously a far superior actor than that useless twat Audrina Patridge.
