Sorry, about to be a sh-t disturber here but I can’t help myself…
Bradley Cooper is currently directing Will Arnett in Is This Thing On? Bradley will also have a role in the film, co-written by Will, about a man, presumably a podcaster, who’s figuring out his life after a breakup. Laura Dern also stars. She and Will were seen making out during a scene the other day.
I posted a couple of months ago about how Bradley will also be camera operating on this project, plus he worked on the script too, so this is full immersion and it might be the most excited I am about a Bradley Cooper-directed movie because Is This Thing On? is a comedy, a departure from the seriousness of A Star Is Born and Maestro. Plus, he’s a great comedic actor, he has excellent timing. You know what we need to replay? One of my favourite Bradley Cooper’s comedic performances was on Between Two Ferns. The way he says, “Water your f-cking ferns” beneath his breath will always, always crack me up.
The point is, I am super into BCoop, the director, in his humour era. And actor too since he’ll be playing a supporting character.
Now let’s talk about his hair. As you can see, he has it in a manbun. And, well, in our current hell, when we think of actor-directors with a manbun, I’m sure there’s one that comes to mind, considering it’s been the biggest gossip story of the last six months. There was a lot of discourse about the actor-director manbun a few months ago when the Blake Lively Justin Baldoni chaos exploded because of how Ryan Reynolds wore his hair as Nicepool. Most people now believe that the character was styled that way and behaved the way he behaved to mock Justin.
And now here’s Bradley, who is a very good friend of Ryan Reynolds btw, behind the camera, with his manbun and a beard and, well, I would love to know what that group chat looks like and whether there’s any clowning going back and forth.
