It was 10 days ago that Page Six first reported that Brad Pitt and Neri Oxman, architect and academic, were spending time together. Since then Brad’s been seen at a baseball game and Dr Oxman has remained undercover. Hard to stay that way when you may or may not be dating one of the biggest movie stars in the world who may or may not be executing a rollout of your relationship. This, of course, is also how it went down with Amal then-Alamuddin. And everyone has noted the similarities between the two situations.
So here’s Dr Oxman in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Friday, arriving back from what looks to be a long trip, given the size of her luggage. You don’t pull the big girl suitcase out like that for a weekender or an overnighter, unless of course you’re an over-packer. Is Dr Oxman an over-packer? The curiosity over her will only continue to grow, the way the curiosity grew about Amal. And, sure, it may be because we are insatiable gossips and that the media exists to feed that appetite but also…
It’s not like he and his team discouraged it, right? Every denial about the two of them dating has been pretty… lukewarm? “They’re friends”, we’ve been told. But in the next breath, in any of the reports about Brad and Dr Oxman, the “sources” make sure to tell us how much Brad admires her, how accomplished she is, which isn’t exactly encouraging anyone from caring more about Dr Neri Oxman. Which is why I’m now wondering about her packing habits and looking at pap shots.
