I wrote the other day that, being Canadian, it's a professional obligation to care about Justin Bieber. He's one of the biggest entertainers on the planet, whether you agree with that or not. Drake is also one of the biggest entertainers on the planet, also Canadian, also a professional obligation, but not nearly as cloying.

Justin Timberlake has said actually that there are two Canadian acts that he believes are the most original in the business right now. Justin on acting is bullsh-t. Justin on music knows his sh-t. And he named Arcade Fire and Drake as the two leaders in the field.

In addition to his sound stylings however, Drake is also going back to actor roots. He was spotted on set in Toronto yesterday shooting a cameo for a movie called Breakaway about hockey. No, not Jimmy Brooks. But it would be hilarious if it was.
