Ana de Armas went shopping in a pair of paisley print pants and while I’m all over printed pants, printed anything actually, and clashing prints too… I’ve actually never been fond of paisley. Maybe it’s because every time I see paisley print, the colours are kinda boring. Like these colours on Ana’s pants. Doesn’t thrill me at all. My ma would LOVE them though. (Go Fug Yourself)

Ellen DeGeneres revealed today that she tested positive for COVID-19. Hopefully her symptoms aren’t too bad. Her show is now on hiatus until next year and she says she’s following all protocols and has informed everyone she’s been in contact with. I’m thinking she likely won’t talk about it until she comes back to the show? Wonder if she’ll refer to 2020 as her “annus horribilis”. (Dlisted)

Are you hanging your Christmas tree lights the right way? I will smugly tell you that I do – and it’s vertical. And it’s also better to do your ribbon vertically and zig-zagging too. Sometimes straight-ish down can look really great if you do it right and coordinate with the ornaments. Not that I’m allowed to do it myself because I live with a tree boss who has declared that he’s our chief tree designer. But, anyway, yeah… vertical. Way better. (Cele|bitchy)

What are the things that ruin a movie for you every time? Reddit came with a list. I really hate when a movie makes it so obvious during a particular part that they want you to cry. That was the first thing that came to mind. The second was Darren Aronofsky’s mother! Which was insufferable in and of itself but also, that f-cking punctuation and the lower case styling. And that reminded me of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. Or Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood. So annoying. And also Justin Timberlake ruins movies for me. (Pajiba)

At the start of the pandemic in North America, everyone was all into sourdough and sourdough starters. It’s now the end of the year – not the end of the pandemic – and … sourdough is still a thing. I never did the sourdough, I was too afraid of it. Vox says this is an easy beginner sourdough. I skimmed the first few paragraphs and already there are words and concepts I don’t understand. Sourdough is still scary to me. (Vox)
