Emily Blunt just wore her best dress of the year a couple of weeks ago but this one is a good second – in Paris to promote Mary Poppins Returns. I love a cape dress. And this is an excellent cape dress, not just because of the cape but because of how the belt complements the cape. Major superhero vibes here, right? And a good example of what a cape can do.
Without the cape, this is a boring column dress. With the cape, it’s a statement. And it’s so easy.
I wish, though, that there was a different colour pattern happening here. The combination here isn’t lighting me on fire. Maybe if the gold accents popped a lot more? Or throw out the gold and red altogether and replace with neon pink? You’re not feeling it, I can tell.
