Been a fan of Gong Li for a long, long time – my mother always tell me I have a bent face, lopsided and droopy to the left…which is why I’ve always identified with her. Gong Li has a little benty face too. In her case however she’s gorgeous.

So I was a little disappointed to see her not looking so great on the carpet at the Cannes Opening Ceremony on Wednesday night. Tired, maybe even a little puffy…far from her best.

But then today as I was going to pick up some credentials at the Majestic, a man asked me to hold the elevator and in she came – hair down, wearing a black fitted dress and gold open toe strappy heels and a big smile with an even bigger laugh… I totally lost my sh-t. Forgot to get off at my floor…was completely entranced.

With one minor complaint. She was wearing nude stockings - is that too bitchy?
