Pretty obsessed with the Chanel dress that Greta Gerwig wore to the Oscar Nominees Luncheon yesterday. Super into the fabric detail at the shoulders and the waist. It’s unmistakably Chanel but also really suited to her, right? The word I would use to describe her style is “whimsy”.
This orange bow is super whimsy. It’s a giant bow right across her chest on a sack of a dress with little girl swimsuit straps. This is never, ever my preferred strap style. I just don’t see it ever being stylish. Which, I guess, is why it needed that bow. That bow isn’t there for you to like it either. It’s there to provoke you. Probably into hating it. I don’t. I mean it’s not my favourite. But I do like that she’s having fun with what she’s wearing on this circuit, with several events sometimes every day, why not f-ck around a little in your fashion?
