As I reported yesterday, Guillaume Canet was not in Cannes with Marion Cotillard yesterday for the premiere of De Rouille et d’os. Guillaume stayed back with Marcel in New York where he’s directing Blood Ties. How CUTE are these pictures of him playing with his boy? That child’s face is the exact perfect combination of his parents.

While Guillaume continued working on set, a beautiful Marion premiered her movie at the Palais. They say she’s Angelina Jolie for the French. It certainly sounded like it on the Croisette. The way the carpet is set up in Cannes, it’s like no other venue, not even the Oscars. Because it’s photo only. And the gauntlet leads right up to the steps, majestically overlooking thousands of fans, subjects below a castle. So, if there’s anywhere a bun that size is appropriate, it’s Cannes. There is no such thing as over the top in Cannes. It’s impossible.
