Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton continue to be the corniest/most extra couple in Hollywood – and that’s saying something when JRod exists. For some reason, Gwen and Blake’s extra is less annoying. Maybe it’s my love of love of The Voice clouding my judgment but I’ve always been here for Gwen and Blake as a couple. It’s been a quiet summer for them but now that The Voice will be back next week, we’ll probably be seeing a lot more of Blake, Gwen and their unsubtle displays of affection.
Yesterday, Gwen was wearing her affection on her feet. She and Blake were spotted going to the doctor’s office in matching denim outfits while Gwen rocked a pair of Vans emblazoned with Blake’s face on them, as you do. Gwen Stefani has never been low-key. She’s always worn weird sh-t. These shoes don’t surprise me. It’s also not the first time she’s worn them. What surprises me is that I don’t hate them. Is it weird that I kinda want a pair? But, you know, with my boyfriend Michael Bae Jordan’s face on them.
If Gwen can wear a pair of shoes with her boyfriend’s face on them while she runs errands with said boyfriend and it doesn’t make me want to punch them both in the face, you’d think this couple could do no wrong. Well, Gwen just announced that she’s releasing a Christmas album and the snippet of the first song features Blake Shelton.
Yeah, that’s going to be a no for me, dawg. I’ve officially found my limit when it comes to this couple. Does Gwen know that they can continue f-cking without making music together? Is this the equivalent of JLO always giving her boyfriends jobs? Gwen Stefani should not be doing country music. Gwen has always been a problematic fave but musically, she’s been solid. She’s got hits. She’s a successful popstar. She’s Gwen f-cking Stefani. She does not need to pivot to country. It makes no sense. Kelly Clarkson? Yeah, that makes sense. Miley? Whatever. Gwen Stefani is an artist that should never, ever put on a pair of cowboy boots. Stick to the Vans.
