Have we gotten used to Daniel Craig’s hair yet? When he showed up in Venice about six weeks ago wearing it longer, some people weren’t feeling it. But now that you’re more accustomed to it, has it… grown on you? Sorry. I couldn’t help it.

Daniel was in New York this weekend promoting Queer, for which he’s predicted to be nominated for an Oscar. In addition to the hair change, there’s been a little bit of a style change. Style is its own character in the film, because Jonathan Anderson is the costume designer, and I feel like that influence has carried over into Daniel’s aesthetic off-screen. (GoFugYourself)

Sally Field has written before about going to Tijuana where she had an abortion in 1963, and as she said, “It was beyond hideous”, but as Jen Maravegias writes, hearing her tell the story is that much more impactful. And she’s doing it because women’s healthcare and reproductive rights are on the ballot in the United States. Sally’s doing her part to make sure people understand the consequences, how dangerous it is now, in 2024, for women who need an abortion and how much more dangerous it will become if people continue to misrepresent and misunderstand what’s at stake. Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at the LA Children’s Hospital Gala this weekend in a red dress that she’s worn before. This time she removed the train but the fit of the dress still isn’t great. I also hate the shoe choice. That said, I really like her hair here because she doesn’t often wear it in beachy waves, it’s typically a blowout. I wonder if we’ll see this more often. (Celebitchy)

Architectural Digest is enabling how nosy we are about celebrity homes again, this time it’s NBA Star Jimmy Butler’s house… which might actually be my favourite celebrity home they’ve ever featured. The standout for me is that casual breakfast table, and those leather chairs. I’m not talking about the fancy dining room but the more “low-key” round table that looks comfortable and cozy. Also the bathroom sink is insane. (The Root)

Drake showed up at a party in Toronto on Saturday and it’s been so interesting to see how media outlets around the world are covering what he said because I was actually there and they’re missing so much of the context. This was Tyrone Edwards’s “Nostalgia” party and he does it every year, it’s pretty much legend in our city. I work with Tyrone, he’s the anchor on ETALK, the show I’ve been reporting on for years.

“Nostalgia” is about old school jams, grooving to music from back then that we all know the words to, and eventually the party just becomes a sing-a-long. Tyrone is part of OVO so the tradition now at Nostalgia is that he and Drake, when it gets real late, hop on the mic together and engage in a friendly song “battle”, where one of them tees up a classic only for the other to answer back with another classic. And it gets more and more hype because these songs are… well… they’re songs we ALL f-ck with. So when Drake was talking about friends and betrayals and whatever, the thing making headlines today, I mean of course he was aware how people would interpret it, but also it was part of the performance of the song battle. Like he wasn’t just sitting around at the party and decided to grab the mic and go off on a rant out of nowhere, which is how some of the media is presenting it, when in fact he’d already been on the mic, like all night.
