Hudson Williams: A Birthday Valentine
After going quiet for a little over a week – which for him must have been a welcome break after the non-stop attention he’s been getting for two straight months – Hudson Williams resurfaced in New York last night. He went to the Knicks game, and he wasn’t alone.
Hudson was with his mother, so let’s start there, because moms should always come first. We don’t know mom’s name, so we’ll just go Korean style and call her eomonim. Eomonim has beautiful skin, which is relevant here because, if you recall, Hudson went viral for his skincare routine, and he credited eomonim for being his skincare influence. Korea has been the global skincare leader for at least a decade now. Eomonim also has great style, killing it in her camel coat and black fit. This is the first time, really, that we’ve seen her under such a big spotlight. It’s a smashing debut.
As for Hudson, he did not go unnoticed at the game. The paps were on it, and the fans clocked him courtside right away, he was getting approached nonstop for photos and greetings.

Hudson’s birthday is on Friday the 13th, not an issue for those of us from Eastern cultures, he’s turning 25, and perhaps he’s celebrating this milestone with his mom, plus Valentine’s Day. And, more importantly, in my opinion, Lunar New Year, which is on Tuesday the 17th. Taking his mom to NYC is pretty f-cking cute, whether or not it’s for a birthday or a holiday. After all the time he’s spent waiting tables and trying to make it in the business, this is the first birthday and Valentine’s and LNY where Hudson can treat his mom to a trip. To be clear, I can’t confirm that that’s exactly what’s happening, it’s just my own fiction at this point, but it’s not exactly a wild presumption given how the dates line up and what Hudson has experienced over the last few weeks. It’s not a stretch to presume that eomonim must be so proud.
Final note on Hudson’s yellow pants – great colour choice for the LNY season.
