Sex and the City premiered 25 years ago today and WTF, how has it been that long?! Do you remember when you started watching? I started watching in season two. And I do not remember Cynthia Nixon’s hair being like this?! I also don’t remember any articles about this but that could be because we weren’t as online back then as we are now. (Go Fug Yourself)
When do you prefer to exercise? I know some people have to do it in the morning. I don’t really have time in the morning so for me it’s mostly after work. On the weekends I try and get out in the morning but the weird thing is, if I exercise first thing in the morning, I need a long ass nap afterwards. But when I exercise in the afternoon, I feel like I’m bouncing off the wall with energy and can keep going and going and going. (Cele|bitchy)
Lily-Rose Depp says that Abel Tesfaye/The Weeknd did not go full Method but sometimes got pretty intense in his role as Tedros on the set of The Idol and does that mean he’s a junior Jared Leto at this point? If you watched the first episode of The Idol, though, what did you think of Abel’s performance? Because, um, I feel like he’s the weakest part of the show. (Dlisted)
We are one week into Pride month and as Chris Revelle points out, all these corporations want to cash in on Pride money without really engaging with the community with “help, recognition, or support” and this is especially critical because in case you haven’t noticed, anti-2SLGBTQ+ bullsh-t has been on the rise. I’ve been seen it all over social media and in my feed. My friends and colleagues are noticing it too – every time there’s a Pride post, the haters come with their misinformation and disinformation. Some corporations claim to care about 2SLGBTQ+ people but what they’re really showing when the homophobes attack is which demographic they truly value. And it’s not the marginalised communities. Is birding big in your circle? I have several friends who took up birding during the pandemic and it sounds like it’s a trend in Hollywood now too. (The Hollywood Reporter)
Website maintenance stuff: Those of you using Safari and Firefox might have noticed that Instagram embeds haven't been showing up lately. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for it and has something to do with the browser's handling of third party data. You're able to jump to the post from the link within the frame, but the only way to see them is to use Chrome or Edge. If we uncover any workarounds we'll update that here.
