This story has everything: fat fingers, defective sweat glands, a possibly bogus pizza defence, and now a perverted puppet in the likeness of Prince Andrew that was allegedly used to grope victims. Reminds me of a piece by Amanda Marcotte last year for at Salon, “Are we breeding depraved billionaires”? Some people have theorised that in order to be that rich, like as rich as people like Jeffrey Epstein, you can’t have a moral compass. And it’s not even that you’re morally neutral, you are actively amoral. Think of all the sh-t we keep hearing about the ultra-wealthy and then consider all the sh-t that so many of them cover up, because they’re protected by their money. It’s terrifying. I’m not saying that I totally subscribe to that position that billionaires are evil, but that trope comes from somewhere.
Now onto the latest in the unsealed Ghislaine Maxwell documents involving Prince Andrew. Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s unpublished manuscript from a book she was writing about her experience with Epstein and Maxwell was released as part of the file. In the manuscript she described an encounter with Andrew at Epstein’s New York mansion. According to Virginia, Epstein and Maxwell had somehow been able to get their hands on Andrew’s Spitting Image puppet that they used on the show back in 2001. Obviously they all thought it was hilarious and Andrew continued the sick joke by using the puppet to molest Virginia and Johanna Sjoberg, another girl who was allegedly being sex trafficked by Epstein and Maxwell. As usual, sources close to Andrew have dismissed these claims as fiction. I don’t know about you but I have an easier time believing that this grossness was a reality than believing two women would be sitting around conjuring up these stories out of nowhere but OK, make her the liar in this situation because Johanna has also told investigators that this happened.
What other f-cksh-t is going to emerge from these documents?!
Ghislaine Maxwell, of course, is still in jail and has been denied bail. Donald Trump was asked about her the other day on HBO Axios. What do you make of what he said about her?
“Her friend or her boyfriend was either killed or committed suicide in jail. She’s now in jail. Yeah, I wish her well, I wish you well, I wish a lot of people well.”
And then:
“I do wish her well. I’m not looking for anything bad for her. I’m not looking anything bad for anybody.”
Her trial is expected to begin in July 2021. A LOT can happen in eleven months.
