Dear Gossips,

The Primetime Emmy nominations will be announced tomorrow morning. There’s no doubt Mad Men will be called. Several times. And it’s the favourite to eventually win Best Drama in September. In past years I haven’t disputed this. But this year...? Boardwalk Empire and Homeland, to me, were stronger. Nothing, however, will make me roll my eyes as hard as Downton Abbey. First season? Of course. Second season? As previously noted, the second season was total bullsh-t. But the best part of Emmy morning will definitely be that Nick Offerman is one of the presenters. We’ll open with analysis tomorrow.

Rumer Est Immortalis - those of you in Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary who sent in applications for the Faculty Of Celebrity Studies travelling lecture series on July 30, 31, and August 2 respectively - acceptance letters (invitations) were emailed yesterday! Look forward to seeing you there!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
