Dear Gossips,

I’m with the girl who’s willing to “go ugly” for Halloween. Few of them are. And certainly not, say, someone like Kate Beckinsale. She actually POSED for the paps on the sidewalk while out trick or treating with her kid. Never waste a makeup moment, right?

Winter’s Bone was just released on DVD last week. So I bought it and watched it again and the second time around, Jennifer Lawrence’s performance, it gets even better. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the anxiety is gone, since you already know the conclusion, or perhaps as we approach the end of the year, the film itself is taking on new perspective among the annual entries, still standing up against projects with so much more hype and momentum. They won’t have the resources though for more than one campaign. And most will agree that campaign should be Lawrence’s. She is f-cking extraordinary. So if you haven’t already, Netflix Winter’s Bone. This is some serious talent.

It’s November 1. It’s time to watch Love Actually!
