Dear Gossips,

I love waking up to Girl Sh-t, unless it’s my own. This is not my own. So of course it’s awesome. My friend M emailed this morning about it and I read the message right after my blackberry alarms went off. It put me in such an instant good mood. More on this later.

A few of you have been asking about Tangled, whether or not it’s a new Disney classic. I saw it a few weeks ago at a junket and I liked it and I had a crush on Zachary Levi’s character Flynn Rider who was actually drawn with the intention that he’d be the Sexiest Man Alive animation styles. The movie was cute, short, and enjoyable for what it is, certainly not a new classic, rather derivative, actually, but just sweet and earnest enough without overkill. My major problem with it though is that I kept waiting for that one big song. You know, the instant hit. The one you can sing as soon as you leave the theatre? And, to me anyway, Tangled doesn’t have one of those.

Please don’t hurt yourselves on Black Friday. I know many Canadians who are in the US now, some even leaving a day early to get ready to scrap it out over sales. Be safe!

Have a great weekend.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
