Natalie Portman is promoting her documentary, Eating Animals. She stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night. And he asked her about Jared Kushner. Natalie and Jared were friends in Harvard. They are not friends anymore. Here’s how she explains it:
“There’s not a lot funny to say about someone you were friends with becoming a supervillain. He said in some interview that the friends he’s lost because of politics it’s like exfoliating. I like the spa metaphors.”
To which Colbert quipped, “So you’re a dead skin cell”.
Natalie: “Proudly”.
Is Natalie Portman 2018 who you expected her to be?
“Here are the all-male nominees.”
It wasn’t just what she said at the Golden Globes. It was the way she said it. The I’m-about-to-fuck-you-up expression on her face the moment before she said it. You can see that same attitude in this interview with Colbert. She’s a shit disturber. And not really sorry about it either. That works for me.
Not sure if the polka dot strapless tiered gown is working for me. It’s pretty for sure. It’s almost annoying but not totally annoying. I just ...feel like she’s been wearing a version of this dress over and over again for years and is that why it doesn’t feel as special?
